Chinese consortium to produce bicycles in Koszalin
The Athletic Group, a Chinese consortium, has acquired 5 ha of land in the Koszalin sub-zone of the Slupska Special Economic Zone. According to Gazeta Wyborcza, within the next couple of months the investor is to build a 16,000 m2 production hall where around 200 employees will produce 200,000 bicycles annually, starting from this summer. According to Sha Hongye, the Athletic Group's financial director, the investment is worth approximately PLN 10m (€2.4m). (Visited: 768)

Poland is third biggest ceramics producer in Europe
According to Rzeczpospolita, over the last dozen years or so Poland has became one of the biggest producers of ceramic tiles in Europe. In 2003 Polish firms produced 70 million m2 of tiles. In 2002 Poland was outsold on this market by such countries as Germany, Portugal, Spain and Italy, while in 2003 only Spain and Italy sold more units. (Visited: 560)
